Mahalo Mr. Freeman

#thank you #appreciationpost

Dear Freeman Foundation,

As a recipient of the 2021-2022 Freeman scholarship, I would like to thank you for allowing me to pursue my study abroad in Korea. I love to learn, which is why I took Japanese, Mandarin, and Spanish in high school then continued to advance my Mandarin in college. The melting pot of cultures in Hawaii has influenced my goal to be a global citizen in accepting all diversity and knowing how to lead with purpose.

Granted that, I will be exploring my interest in global relations, in hopes to find a career abroad someday. I plan to take a couple of business courses and a cultural course since Korea will be the best place to immerse myself with their history. The COVID-19 pandemic has presented many obstacles but I am so appreciative to have had another opportunity to achieve my dream and it could not be possible without your support. The funding will go towards my tuition, room & board, textbooks, and any expense-related matters.

Once again, I am so honored to receive this scholarship and will pay it forward in sharing my experiences with others. I was inspired by past Freeman scholars, which I hope to do the same to future peers who are interested in studying abroad, expanding their global perspective, and developing their skillset.

All the best,
Justina Bui

More Thanks
